I'll get some Range time with the 57 this weekend.
I loaded 120 rounds using 26.5 grs of H110 using cci #350 primers with 170gr. speer hp's it should be a nice shooting round. It will be a fast round. I'll let you know the results in a couple days.

Sweet.

I like somewhat lighter rounds for plinking in my .41's.... those being Model 58's as well a short barrelled 57's.

I use 8.0 grns of Unique for 210 grn. lead slugs and 10.0 grns under a 210 grn. JHP's.

Doesn't require magnum primers either....

Happy Trails!

The lighter weight bullets sure do kick a lot less than heavier ones. I have a lot of #350 magnum primers. So to use some up it was #350's. As long as they go bang I'm ok with that.

You guys must be rich to be able to go plinking with jacketed bullets. I'm gonna have Obama make you guys share the wealth. Make you send a couple hundred JHP bullets my way. And don't be shootin' 'em at me, either. :p I use 7.0 grains of Unique under a 200 gr. cast SWC for plinking.

Not rich here I picked up 2000 rnds of Speer 170 grn. JHP cheap. $50 bucks per 1000. The guy had 20 boxes of 100 I bought them all. I'm down to about 600. I'll switch back to lead and hang on the 6 boxes I have left.

That's cheap for jacketed. Was that a one time occurence at that price? I buy 210 grain cast leads for $60/1000.
