Please see if you can read the serial on all major components. I can't read one on the cylinder face, and there should be one on the underside of the barrel also.
The MADE IN USA puts the frame after 1922, much too late for a serial starting with 318, and the small logo on the left puts it before 1937. Under the circumstances, I think only a 5 or 6 would make sense for the first damaged digit.
The different coloration indicates the cylinder with rod may have been switched out.
