The Smith Wesson Model 10 and its M&p Revolver counter part has been and is the work horse of the Revolvers. Only third in total production world wide behind the Browning high Power, and Colt 1911 the Smith Wesson model 10 had graced the holsters of more police officers from 1930s to the 1980s than any other gun. It has been used by the military in 29 countries and used by security forces around the world. Its like of the time-ex watch of the Revolvers. i have three in my collection , a M&P from 1949 and 10-1 heavy barrel and a 10-5 light barrel . They are still me al time favorite revolvers to shoot and to teach people how to shoot.
