I want to sell my 1988 Colt Series 80 3.5". What is the smart way that doesn't stress me out, I don't like stress. Also, I live in the insane state of California...nuff said.
The few dealers I went to lowballed the heck out of me, I was stunned considering not one of them had a Colt .45 in the showcase.
Just as a side note: I delt vintage sport cars for decades, I know my stuff and know when I'm getting worked.
I get everyone in business needs to make money but geeeeez. these knuckleheads were trying to work me from behind with no foreplay. Very sad indeed.

You could post it on armslist. I have bought quite a few guns through the site.

Gunbroker is an OK place to sell it. Look for similar guns, check their sale prices (not beginning bid prices).

Since you're in California like me.... I'd try the classifieds on the Calguns.net forum. I haven't sold anything there, but I 've sure bought many
guns without a problem... as long as due diligence (like any other selling venue) is practiced.
