Well after years of drooling over then in Gemany while in the Army and reading about them everytime something was published, I finally got one. An Anchutz that is. Its the plain version still with the 64 action, yet even those carry high pricetags for a .22 Sporter, I got an offer the otherday I couldn't let pass. Rifle is right at 10yrs old, has one little small scrape on the barrel, no dings whatsoever on the stock, and doesn't even look to have had a scope mounted. Range report to follow after this weekend!!!!!

Good for you! Looking forward to a range report.
Leighton My youngest son shot 3p for years , his rifle of choose was the anchltz. You might want to try cci green label for practice. and when every shot counts go to Ely. :)
Leighton I have a rim thickness gage that he used to great advantage in his competition. If you want it it's yours. :)

Thank you for the offer, but I don't think the squirrels will notice. I'm gonna make this, as long as it can out shoot my Walther KKJ, my new tree-rat sniper.
Is it my imagination or does it look like CZ?
Leighton;

That is a thoughtful firearms purchase and a very nice rifle. Ought to be lots of fun. Let us hear how you shoot with it.

I have a huge hole in my collection, not having a "big boy" scoped .22 rifle.

Have fun with it my friend. I have shot with a standard one, but unfortunately I'm left handed. Still had some great fun with the club Anschutz. :D

It is fitted with diopter sights for "olympic competition"!!
