The Tuesday jokes were on the forum at around 1:30 in the afternoon. Around 3:-3:30 I tried to get on and got a message that the site was down for maintenance. A few hours later, site was up but tuesday joke page was gone. I figured something happened to it during the shutdownY'all are getting bent out of shape and blaming this forum. I can tell you this much, if someone deleted the entire day's jokes it would be visible to me. And I don't see any links to anything being deleted. Same goes for individual posts. They always leave something that I can see and if I choose, look at.
I don't know what happened to yesterday's jokes but I will say again, if the entire thing was deleted I would be able to see it. Even individual posts that get deleted are still there for me and there's nothing there.
While we're talking about deleting posts, I will say again please don't post political jokes here. We have a political forum for them. And those do sometimes get deleted, usually by me.
That's what I'm thinking too. The reason I said anything is because of the members saying they were being censored. That is not the case. We do censor if the language is overboard but that hasn't been the case with the jokes. In fact, this is one place I go to every day. I enjoy them too.The Tuesday jokes were on the forum at around 1:30 in the afternoon. Around 3:-3:30 I tried to get on and got a message that the site was down for maintenance. Had a friend that had a '63 225. Had a bench seat with a 3 speed on the floor (FACTORY), don't remember the engine... Wasn't much off the line, but once you got rolling that lead sled would haul the mail...How about a Buick Electra 225? Or anything from the 1960's?

Just change it to Mcdundee.Huh. Apparently not. As a half-Irish person, I was unaware that I was supposed to be offended by the term M i c k.
Yeah, that's the engine. I remembered it was called a nailhead, but I forgot the displacement. 325 HP in 4400 pound car. 100 on the freeway felt like 45. We didn't have Sunoco... we had to survive on Super Shell at 104 octane. I ran Dodges then and that's all they would run on.View attachment 498420
This?
This "Business Man's Coupe"?
401cid. Buick. 10.25:1 compression? Some way "TALL" Highway Gear....
What great automobiles!
At that time, REGULAR GAS was a REAL 91 Octane. Sunoco 260 was 107 REAL Octane.
Look at the pump, next time you gas up. R+M/2. What does that mean?
Well, "research" (Gov't) comes up with 75 REAL Octane. The Manufacturer (Big Oil Co's LIE/STEAL/CHEAT DEPT.) claims it to be 105 FAKE Octane.
So: 105 +75/2 =90 Octane. Big Oil "slaps" the "HI TEST" sticker on it, and charges the RUBES (us) $3.55/gal!![]()
Point of this ramble?
Can not even purchase the gasoline to run such an AUTOMOBILE, today.
Any way, I'm thinking (headed into the "way back")....that engine was referred to as the "Wild Cat"? And by BUICK LOVERS as the "Nail Head"?
Input from someone with a better "way back".....is welcome!
Later, Mark
