All of the alternates can be found in CHARACTER MAP. The $ goes before the amount, the ¢ goes after the amount. $5.76 not 5.76$ 47¢ is correct not ¢87 The useful ones for your convenience:

90° Alt 0176 98° F with 92% humidity and no A/C (Florida)

± Alt 0177 case length = 2.065" ± 0.005"

÷ Alt 0247 98 ÷ 7 = 14

Wiki says
It can be opened via the command line or Run Command dialog using the 'charmap' command.

Windows 10 has it as an App.

How to find Character Map:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\charmap

Click on the icon for your computer or the C: drive and do a search for character map or charmap . My search took about 2 minutes and I had 3 hits, the line above worked to bring up the Character Map on my HP with Win 10. You know everything I do about it now -- which ain't much but it works. You can also chose about 40 different fonts to find "special stuff"
