Curious to know how long it will be before Smith will stop any kind of warranty work (or even simply fixing) on their steel/aluminum frame autos.

I get nervous that if something breaks years down the road, I'll get a "Sorry, we no longer offer gunsmithing services on your 5906".

With the exception of a few parts I have found the 3rdGen guns very easy to work on. Don't know about a time frame, I imagine they(S&W) will continue to honor their warranty for several more years.

I hope it won't be for a long time cause I own 4 or 5 3rd gen guns. I wouldn't worry about it for several years anyway. This Thu is when they stop working on Sipowicz's guns. :lol:
