As a teenager I was I to civil war reenactor that was in the 70’s and there was just becoming an easy availability to get equipment. Guns were available as well as hard goods, buckles and such but uniforms were all homemade with patterns taken from existing museum pieces and sized accordingly then passed around from unit to unit. My favorite thing were rifled musket shoots at 4x4 posts. We would have a 4 or 5 man team and see who could cut the post in half first. If you timed it right and everyone knew where to aim it was possible to cut it down in one volley. Didn’t happen often for us but we managed it a couple times. All I have left of that time is a repro 1858 Remington revolver and an original NCO sword. Everything else was sold when the kids stared coming! Wish I still had all of that equipment. Thanks for posting glad you enjoy shooting your iron. I usually only shoot mine once a year or so.
