Welcome from Ohio. Hope the ammo shortage is getting close to ending as 5.56 is addictive. My Sport2 just doesn't seem to know when to let up.

Hello all, I am new MP15 Sport 2 owner here.

Out of curiosity, How much did everyone pay for their SW MP15 S2? I am seeing it's $900 and up. I am aware of that it is really hard to get right now. I would love to grab one before law change or whatever.

Welcome to the forum!

No M&P but we have a Ruger AR556 which is comparable. So far great rifle and just have bought magazines, ammo and a red dot sight and no real modifications.

Welcome.

Mine has a CMC 3.5 lb. straight drop-in trigger, a nice inexpensive Sightmark reflex sight and a vertical front grip. Nothing too fancy.

And lotsa Magpul magazines.

We have a S&W Sport II and a Ruger AR 556. The S&W carries a red dot and the Ruger has a 3-9 X 40 scope. I originally bought the S&W and my wife bought the Ruger but after playing with them a bit she liked the S&W better(I did too)so I swapped with her. Both put holes in whatever you aim them at and both run brass and steel cased ammo like grease through a goose.

Hello. Just bought my first rifle. M&P-15 Sport II. Looking for recommendations for any add-ons, i.e., scopes, grips, etc.

I bought both my sons M&P Sport II's for Christmas 2019 (just before the Covid panic buying started), paid $499 ea.

Great rifles...

That's awesome!

Question.. are you guys from Alabama? Couldn't help but notice the Jordan on your sons pullover and the others shirt one could read "magic city."

The Sport was well under $600 before Covid. About everything S&W makes is running $150-300 over pre-covid prices right now

Buy and install a Geissele trigger like the SSA-E in your new AR or the less costly G2S, but still excellent trigger (I have both - one in one Colt LE6920 and the other in another Colt LE6920) and you'll find the cost worth every penny.

Sorry this response is so belated.. Mine listed for 729 at Brownells and was purchased around the same time I made this post. I'm now seeing them from 599 to 699.

At least this ammo shortage is easing up somewhat.. These rifles are addictive!

I bought mine the minute the LGS opened up under Covid, April 2020. Got it for the old price (helps I guess to be a regular customer in a Brick and mortar family run business!) $499 with ammo at about $09.55 / rd (I thought robbery at the time)

Enjoy, its a sweet gun.

Or a Larue MBT-2S. Currently $87 plus shipping. For the money they blow stock triggers out of the water. Warning though, Larue wait/shipping times are around 2+ months.
