I know what you are saying about being able to buy new guns. I always wanted a K-22, but never was able to afford one until I was a grandfather.

I think the price of the new ones is one of the reasons that sellers are asking $600-700+ for a used K-22.

I saw a shooter grade not too long ago and the guy wanted 700 bucks! kubvcabo They don't come up around here too often. I did miss out on one for $390 by a day nbvoALO . But I have patience, another will come along. For now I will settle with my 617.

I knew I was not a buyer.

I'm with you Bill. These modern guns just don't seem to have the same 'soul' as the 1946-1970's era guns.

I confess to having a 17-5 and a 17-6, but S&W really lost me when in later -numbers they went to aluminum, 10-shot cylinders and full underlugs. Just not the same gun.
