Anyone had a chance to try out a Henry single shot? Small local dealer has a golden boy version in .357 and the blued version in .450. Thought hard about the .357 but decided a single shot makes more sense in a rifle caliber and save my $$ for a lever action .357. They do make this rifle in .223, .243 and I think .308. All that I have seen have nice wood and seem to be finished well but have a very heavy hammer pull and trigger. Run around $500.00

no on the single. both my Henrys are lever guns. H001TMER 22 mag Evil Roy, and a H010B brass 45-70

Definitely save up for the 357 Lever as I have the Silver Big Boy and is heavy but accurate as anything. Will add some real velocity to the 357 Mags. I have used my Henry 45 Colt carbine single action as the COL was too long to cycle. So then you can have Lever rifle or just have fun as a single action.
