Welcome from Iowa.
You have a Military and Police revolver. In the late '50s it was called the Model 10.
According to the Catalog it was made sometime in the '30s. It just gives a range from 241,704 to 700,000 listing the dates from 1915 to 1942.
If you shoot it use only standard velocity loads.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass. Your 38 military and police revolver Model 1905, 4th change was made around 1923. As examples, .38 M&P serial 449993 was shipped in May 1923 and.38 serial number 463794 was shipped in October 1923.

The grips on it are not original. And unfortunately one of the Mother of Pearl panels is chipped. Based on the condition I see, $250 would be on the upper end of the value range for my area.
