HELP!! How many grains in an ounce?

Silly question, I know. But...I'm helping my son make his Pinewood derby car for cub scouts and the only scale we have is my reloading scale. His car can't weigh more than 5 ounces, so how many grains to the ounce? Thanks.

I was afraid of that. I'm thinking the RCBS 505 isn't cut out for that kind of work. Looks like we are off the the deli.

Thanks anyway Pistola.
Just remember 7000 = 1 pound. Then do the math.
G
7000 grains per pound
16 oz per pound

437.5 grains per ounce
re: "7000 grains per pound"....

I just got an 8# jug of Tite Group.....looks like I'm gonna be needing a few more primers...
