Hello, new member here. I recently picked up a handful of older smiths and this 1905 is the one I am having a hard time dating. I know the dates are not "exact". Yes, its in rough shape but locks up tight and feels mechanically sound. I was told back in the day people used to engrave their license numbers and/or initials in their guns, so i'm guessing that is whats all over the gun? But any info/insults/compliments thrown my way will be appreciated! Thanks!

Also, given the wear and hand engravings ect, what would be an appropriate value? I do not plan on selling this just because I would rather leave in the safe with my oldies. But a ball park number from someone would be appreciated! Thanks
