.32 Hand Ejector, 3rd model serial number range - 263001-536684 - date range 1919-1942 (ctg is just an abbreviation for "cartridge")

Your gun falls somewhere in the middle, maybe 1930's. The only way to pin down an exact date of shipment from the factory is a $100 S&W letter but I don't have the current address at hand. If it's worth 100 bucks to you, someone else on the forum can give you the address.

I know my grandfather bought in early 20s. Grandmother shot chickenhawks with it in mid 20son farm in Ky before depression.
So I know it is older than 30s.

Would like to have pinned down a little more .

Just keep clean and should still be a real shooter.

There is information on a Sticky item in the first S&W revolver forum on how to request a letter. The letter will give Date shipped and who was shipped to and how was shipped, grips, finish, etc.
