One of the more interesting things about Black Powder shooting and the early Flintlocks in particular are the accoutrements. These Hawks or early camp hatchets sometimes take on a personality of their own.. :)

I like them!!! The only ones I have are modern versions, like Gerber and Cold Steel. Nothing that pretty YET!!!!!
Giz, they are really cool. Where did you get them and if you don't mind what are they worth? I would love to get one myself.

A friend had them, he had the basic hawks decorated by a friend. They were very resonable in price...He might have some more so PM me if your interested :)

Here is a photo of a Shrew 'hawk. It will really hold an edge and is so small and handy, you can actually butcher with it if you wanted to.
