I'm totally ignorant of this model. What is it - a modern version of the .38-44 HD in .357? The fixed sights and underlug combination flips my switch - whatever the caliber.

It's basically a 4" 27 chamber in .357 Mag but with fixed sights and modified magna PC grips shipped in standard blue box. It's in the Stand. Cat. of S&W.
N.Y. State Police ordered 3000 of these in June of 1980 and never took delivery, so they were sold to the public.
Mint, unfired ones in the box with all the goodies can easily bring $1000.
This one is 98%, but had no box and I paid $700 gladly as I had been searching for three years for one.
Beautiful gun! That was a very good price also. I haven't seen any in that condition go for $700.00 , even with no box. New with box, tools and docs I've seen them priced at $1,200.00. Congratulations.
Bob
