Took the Blackhawk out a couple of days ago to get it ready for deer season. Using .44 Magnums with 250 grain Lyman cast #429421 bullets and 10.0 grains of Unique at 40 yards offhand.

I enjoy reading your posts and deer targets. I do have two questions for you though.

1. I see that you've got a couple of handguns sighted in for the upcoming season. Which one will be your go to gun? The reason I ask is that I've often wanted to take a whitetail with a handgun and my choice would be my 7.5" barreled Blackhawk in .41 Rem. Mag.

2. Are you planning on handgun hunting exclusively? Or are these backups to a rifle?
