Would a kiln to control the temperature of a metal box filled with charcoal and my gun parts be the hardware to do a home charcoal blue? If so what would be the process on doing the charcoal blue without ruining like the heat treatment?

I used Brownells' rust blue solution to do this on my kitchen stove. It was a real mess when I got it.

How would an evenheat kiln work for doing a charcoal blue? I have a brownels half tank that can fit anything up to 20 inches in. Would I fill it up with pure carbon charcoal, and leave it in the kiln?
