I get guys who want to buy one of my one of my Smith's, then, after a while say they don't have the money anymore. This has happened far too often......and I am fed up with it! If you want to buy a gun, you should have the money to buy it. No excuses, to delay, or change the deal. SO, after the last one.....I'm not going to sell anything anymore!!!!

If you want to collect Smith's or Colt's, you should be able to afford them, in the first place. NO if's, and's, or but's!!!!

 Bob
Bob send what you want to sell to me, I'll check them out and send you a check for what I think they are worth...Easy Peazy mate!.....:)

Perhaps, that would not be a good deal, particularly since you will already have my revolvers. I wasn't born yesterday....y'know. ..... Bob

I don't like selling anything. The last thing I sold was a UTV I didn't use. Nothing burns my butt more than the first words out of their mouth is "what's your lowest price", not ask about its features, when they can see it, etc. Just, "how little will you take." I get so enraged I just hang up on them!
That is when you say your lowest price is 10% ABOVE your original asking price and when they try to go lower, you go higher - gets rid of the tire kickers real fast

In my case, I NEVER sell anything so it don't matter. I carefully buy what I want and keep it.
I just couldn't let a $4000 machine sit and rot at my house. I thought this thing would have let me spend more time out in the woods, after my 3 back surgeries not letting me be able to go walking out there anymore. I was wrong, my back couldn't handle driving it on the trails, so it just sat there. I had a 16' bass boat that I gave to the daughter of my cousin (more like my sister) and her husband. They are a really nice young couple that I am close to. They really appreciated it and use it often. I didn't have to deal with the annoyance of selling it and I did a good deed for a young family.

This could be a problem for me. I don't care for anybody in my family that's still alive!!! Not in my wife's family either........bunch of skunks!!! I suppose they will go to my wife......who doesn't even like guns. Some unscrupulous dealer will give her $100 each, and laugh his way to the bank. They are probably worth, maybe $4000.

Just throw some dirt in my face, honey!!!!! Bob

Just enjoy what you have while you have it. An old woman once said to me, speaking of how she spent her money, "coffins don't have pockets". I'm spending my money I have now on things I like. Those left behind after me can do what they like with it. I won't care because I'll be dead...

I have seen exactly how gun dealer's deal. Everything that you have is junk.......everything they want to sell is worth a fortune. After they buy your gun for cheap....they say how nice it is,and up the price 5X what they gave you. They say "I have overhead costs." Well....so do I. I kept the gun spotless, for 45 years. But THAT DON'T MATTER!!!!!! Bob

I have traded a gun in as part payment for another gun a couple of times. When I do that I know I could easily get at least half again what the shop is allowing me for the value of the gun, but it is my decision at the time. Most often I put a gun on consignment, telling the shop how much I want for it. That works the best for us - for where we are and for the particular LGS with which we do most of our business.
