Funny, but for me that would be a once in a lifetime hunt. Have had a few friends head out West for guided hunts...Not one doesn't wish to do it again. But I'm sure there are some folks out West that would love to come East and do the same kind of thing....

Your friend found himself a big ol boy :D Is there a story that goes with him?

It is a 'once in a life time' hunt in Az. One animal is all you get in Az. for buffalo and big horn. If you want another, you have to go to go out of state. Getting drawn for a big horn hunt is a lucky thing anyway. Another friend has put in every year for over 20 years and has never been drawn.
Have not had a chance to here the story in detail, but John is not much for talking, much less bragging, about his hunts. It took me three months just to get a picture of this one. Took about a year, until he got his 7X7 elk back from the taxidermist, to see that huge critter.
The only thing I know about any of it is he bought a 257 Weatherby for the hunt.

Dang, that looks like the bighorn sheep that was standing up on the ridge watching us shoot targets a few months back! He had about 6 smaller females & males with him. Would have been an easy 125 yard shot, but I'm not a poacher!
