We fixed a Dodge Durango for the local sheriffs department. The deputy was on an access road by the railroad that was on a steep hillside. He had to get out quickly and instead of placing the rotary knob in park, he engaged the 4WD. Needless to say that after two narrow ravines and coming to rest in a not so narrow ravine, the car had lots of damage. They opted away from that style shifter after that.
