I have a collection of Ruger handgun ads going back to the beginning. I never bothered with the rifles and that is really pretty neat....I love the earlier ads and it is my understanding that Bill Ruger was always working with the add agency's and artists, personally. He didn't want anyone else handling that bit of marketing...
Giz, I love that stock on the upper 10/22!!!! Obviously not factory wood!!!! I need details!!!!! One question thoughg......why is the sight blade down on the upper rifle, that doesn't have a scope base?"???? While, it's up on the lower one....with the scope base. Kinda seems like an incongruity. Bob
The upper one is a original 10/22 beavertail Sporter, and that is the factory stock The lower is also a early International. Both guns were made in the first year of production.
