I won't ruin the story, but he was abducted, again supposedly, returned to earth a few days later and left nude in a phone booth in Heber Arizona, where he made a call to the authorities. I never understood his being nude, yet able to find the change for the phone, but hey, that's just me being a skeptic! On the other hand, my kids were up there this weekend trying to escape the oppressive heat of the Phoenix area and decided to stop by the infamous phone booth to make a call! I'll let you all decide for yourself, but I can tell you those youngsters loved the 'Alien'!

Have seen it and is good, makes you think. What is really scary is the Alien in the middle phone booth. Sounds like a great time for the kids.

If I remember correctly, you could dial the operator without putting any change in the slot..... I think at least. Hard to remember, haven't seen or used a pay phone in a long time.

Do they even exist today?

I seldom watch movies anymore since they seldom follow the storyline of the book & get hollyweirdized. I was interested in a book until I saw the price... $137.65 for a paperback!
