l’m getting ready to buy a rifle. Either an M1a or a Rock River LAR15 EOP. Gun Stores in my area don’t have either. Websites of gun stores in surrounding areas, don’t have them. They say “out of stock“ and a couple sites says do not know when or if we can get it.
I was in the Rock River WebSite and looks like any Gun Store or FFL can order a rifle right directly off them. Am I right in this thinking?
So just scratching my head a little....

I've done it. Call the manufacturer and get the gun sent to your FFL.
A lot of gun shops use distributors and if their distributor doesn't carry it, no dice.

Does the manufacturer have it in stock? Most places are probably shipping as soon as they are built to fill current or even past orders

My son went the Rock River route, turn around time didn't take that long IIRC.
