Based on my research, I believe this is a .32 cal Hand Ejector, second model of 1903, 5th change. S/N 174,534. I know these guns dated from 1910 - 1917. Does anyone have a good estimate of when a gun with this S/N might have been put into service? This is my everyday carry gun, and I target shoot with it regularly. Thank you.

I would guesstimate that it was made before WWI, around 1915. A letter would give you a ship date but I don't think it would be worth the $100 cost. Hopefully someone here has lettered one with a serial number close to yours and will chime in with results. Oh... and welcome to the forum! Thanks for taking the time to post pictures of your treasure. We all like pictures. It's visually stimulating! 馃榿

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! I think John is about as close to a shipping date as possible without a letter.
