Hey everybody! My uncle recently passed and left my aunt a few firearms! This was his carry gun. Looks to be a model 60. It’s engraved and has a smooth wooden grip. It seems to be different from a lot of the other pictures I’ve seen. The engraving feels rougher in some parts, so I didn’t know if this was a factory job or custom. I’ve attached a few pictures! Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! I agree with the above that it does not look like factory engraving. However, I'm not an expert but I can put you in touch with some. Some of them are members here but most of the S&W Collector's Association members and engraving experts hang out on the Blue Forum.
