Hey everybody! My uncle recently passed and left my aunt a few firearms! This was his carry gun. Looks to be a model 60. It’s engraved and has a smooth wooden grip. It seems to be different from a lot of the other pictures I’ve seen. The engraving feels rougher in some parts, so I didn’t know if this was a factory job or custom. I’ve attached a few pictures! Welcome to the forum. I would say that is not a factory engraving. Looks kind of like it was done with one of those electro-pencil engravers

Looks to be cut engraving to me and tastefully done. Factory or not would require a letter from SWHF. Either way..nice revolver! I'd be proud to have it in my collection.

Have you taken the grips off to see if the engraver possibly left his mark or initials on the grip frame? You never know!
