Russ Smith Class A-engraved the 44 Magnum finished in bright blue and it was shipped in December 1956. The nickel 44 Magnum was Class A-engraved by Sigfried Rentzschke and it was shipped in October 1956. Engraved 5-screw 44 Magnums from 1956 are very rare and these are two of my best.

Don...I have revolvers engraved by Russ Smith, Sigfried Rentzschke, Alvin White, Harry Jarvis, Virginia LeBlanc, Paul Piquette, and Wayne D'Angelo (that I know of for sure ). Each gun is a unique piece and has its own charm about it. A long answer to say no, I really don't have a true favorite.

I do think Alvin White's animal work is superior as the detail is quite stunning when examined closely.
