Sweet.....I've always liked those,, had a few chances to get out and "play" with them. but, actually finding one in my price range while i had cash in hand,, Well that hasn't happened quite yet..LOL

You have some sweet looking rifles.
Mine was built by Ed Vanenburg over in Houston back in 2002. Started with a primo STG-58 kit, had the barrel cut back to 18 ", and installed on a Imbel Gear logo receiver. Runs like a champ. I've got another build in the works. I have another primo metric kit and a DSA type 2 receiver in hand plus a set of new Izzy wood. I'm waiting around on ordering my 922 parts before building this one cause I may just switch gears and do an inch build instead if I can ever find a primo inch kit to work with. FAL's are addictive.
I hang out at the FAL Files when I'm not over here.

I used to lurk a lot on the FAL Files back before the kits and Imbel rec's dried up.Every now and then I check back by there but its very seldom.I got a whole lot of good info about FAL's from that place and turned on several of my friends to this great rifle.I've built a lot of FAL's and at one time I had seven. kubvcabo I finally got that that monkey off my back and decided I could live with just three.Here is a pic of my carbine,Imbel rec.Imbel barrel,on a DSA lightweight lower with DSA furniture.It's VERY LOUD when you shoot it.

I have always liked thier looks, but I have never even held one. I have heard they are heavy and expensive. I figured that's why I hadn't seen one before. How expensive are they?

They are great Battle Rifles. I have owned and used them since my first G-series in the late 60's. For the dollar, it is very hard to beat the DSA's that are available today. My favorite is still the M1A however. What ever your choice ,I am sure you will be pleased.

Call me kooky but I generally prefer the original, genuine article to a clone. My FAL was actually made by FN, in Belgium, and does not bear any import stampings (long story). Maybe my favorite rifle to shoot. gun was designed over 50 years ago and it still looks futuristic today.

Have owned 3 FALs over the years, an FN 50.00 and later an FN 50.63. Both went away in foolish, OK stupid, trades for I don't remember what

Picked up an SAR 48 Match (Bush) 20+ years ago, added an ARMS topcover and Leupold Tactical. Off a ruck it'll shoot near a minute w/ FGMM.

Last year picked up a complete DSA Para lower, new bolt assembly and Para topcover. Haven't switched back and forth yet, but that's the intention anyway.

The FAL is a great platform, should make all the folks who complain about the AR happy. Full battle rifle caliber, piston driven and without the M14 baggage. Uhmmm, maybe we should have adopted it when we had a chance 50+ years ago :shock: :mrgreen:

Thanks for your replay, I tryed to contact DSA with e-mails to buy few things for british fal but they didn't answer any of my posts. And I heared that they can't ship parts over 100$????? nvonjvila
I had managed to buy some things from UTG.but still need few other things.
