Years ago I was collecting and my every morning with a cup of coffee routine was looking at gunbroker. It didn't take long to look at the new listings. You can customize your search easily and recognize the overpriced relisted items quickly. I invested alot of time in it and it paid off, it paid off very well. Refinished guns are cheaper, they are easy to spot if gou have a big enough screen to view the photos, beware of blurry images. Cut barrels are also a thing, incorrect location of the barrel stamping and evidence of pins holding the front sight are signs. Stocks for early guns are typically 'mined' by the seller for sale on Ebay, replaced with rubber , aftermarket or much later wood. Take your time, decide which trade offs you are willing to accept. Deals are out there, be vigilant and be wary.
