I've heard a bit of both sides. What is the general opinion here? If you use a sealed ammo box, would you still include desiccant inside? We are not talking about storing it underwater for 40 years...
When I was preparing to move 20 years ago I loaded all the 45acp and 38spl I had on hand. Came to a couple thousand of each. Bagged them on quart freezer bags with a desiccant pack (medium silica gel) and a couple of small packs of oxygen absorbers. I opened the last of the 45 two weeks ago and it looked and went bang just like new.
