Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Yes. Buy a copy of the Standard Catalog of S&W, 4th Edition, by Supica and Nahas. You can get an electronic copy for much less than a printed one. That will tell you pretty much every gun S&W made as of 2016 and what frame they are built on. Also tells you about accessories like grips, sights, etc.
