This guy isn't the definitive revolver expert. (neither am I!) Hammer falling forwards, firing mechanism dying, fitment issues on the side plate.

Sounds like junk to me. And reading on the Python posts and articles......MIM parts for the loss!

From numerous sources I have read on the Internet, apparently Colt's Customer Service and Quality Control is very poor. This example seems to fit the pattern.

It's a mistake to think that MIM alone will size parts close enough to satisfy the precision assembly of a revolver mechanism. It's simply more complicated to assemble and adjust properly.

This is one reason older S&W revolver actions feel better. There was more time and experience spent in final fitting them. Put gunsmith artisans under time pressure, and they will perform - you just might not like the results.

Kinda sounds like those Armscor revolvers are a better buy. Taurus seems to be making good stuff these days.
