YEP! That was the idea. Some say a DRY LUB- and plated bullets work best. I gave my son in Alaska mine, I was offered one in NICKEL the same week I bought it, if I had only known    Any way, I have a 1972 Colt conversion Unit and of all things, it seems to like Winchester T-22's best over everything. forget Green Tag, CCI or Federal Bulk from the 550 pack seems to work too. They are not target guns, but then with these old eyes I am not that much of a precision shooter. :D SHOOT AWAY!!!

Be aware that the floating chamber gets real dirty real quick and can cause problems. Clean thoroughly after each use or after 200 rounds whichever comes first.
