I bought a colt ace new in the box a while back, talk about a hoot to shoot! this 22 recoils just like a 45 1911.

YEP! That was the idea. Some say a DRY LUB- and plated bullets work best. I gave my son in Alaska mine, I was offered one in NICKEL the same week I bought it, if I had only known :roll: :roll: :roll: Any way, I have a 1972 Colt conversion Unit and of all things, it seems to like Winchester T-22's best over everything. forget Green Tag, CCI or Federal Bulk from the 550 pack seems to work too. They are not target guns, but then with these old eyes I am not that much of a precision shooter. SHOOT AWAY!!!

Be aware that the floating chamber gets real dirty real quick and can cause problems. Clean thoroughly after each use or after 200 rounds whichever comes first.
