Picked up a set of grips today that have a small California Highway Patrol emblem in them. I was told they are for a Model 28 S&W. They are not maker marked and appear to be a thick plastic with a thumb rest. Juss curious if these are for a commemorative or ? Thought you guys would know. Thanks.

I'm no expert, but maybe they could be for a model 68 which was made for the CHP. Be patient and someone with much more knowledge than I will be along. We have some very knowledgable folks here. Welcome to the forum BTW.

The 68s I have seen had standard stocks with S&W medallions. These are likely some stocks that were offered with customized emblems. I have seen such things with Texas Ranger badges or military emblems, etc.
