CAMPING

Just returned from a camping trip to North Carolina. Found this ole boy back off a back road in a swamp ditch. Water was about 7 feet wide at this point. I was on my side, he was on his, no doubt waiting for me to fall in. My wife had the glass on him and said he never took his eyes off me. These were taken with my Nikon D 700. :)

Also found these growing wild along the ditches.

Nice 'gator. Might just be the angle but the belly looks pretty full to me, like it has recently fed.
What gator?

All I see are a nice pair of boots, a belt, some hat bands, and a lot of holsters. Nice pic!
Yeah, he was WELL fed. Plenty of turtles as well. About 7 feet long at least- the end of his tail was in the water. :) Also found his little guy about camp. A 'CORN SNAKE', this being the 'Red Rat' Variety. Make good pets-- I hear. :)

And a pretty fair tail fry....

We don't see many Gators up here on the Big Lake...

But if we did, we'd be ready..... (My Sons Ryan and DJ)

We do get some pretty big Bullheads.... (My Son Eric)

And we awaken to this on the morning....
