Needed to zero the Crosman 2100 Classic. Missed a squirrel in the cherry tree this a.m.
I have a $200 Leupold M8 on a $100 bb rifle. Kneeling at a tad over 12 yards, thats over 36 feet for you metric folks, hpnpap, at a water filled orange juice jug 5&1/4" thick.
First two shots were low left. Adjusted and bingo, we're havin' OJ.
Rear of the target displays 3 strong indents and a captive bb, almost through.

The pressure was at ten pumps (about tops).

Pretty good penetration for a bb. Enough for squirrels in the backyard.

I would put that nice glass on a Benjamin Sheridan pump rifle. They are very accurate and eight pumps will stop tree rats very well. They have a nice wooden stock and you can get one for about 125 or so. Less if you get a remanufactured one.

I would guess that your air rifle with the Leupold could give you a serious paralax problem - scope probably set for 100 yards.
