Hi,
I'm new here....might have had one earlier post. Anyway I have a few S&W's and I just bought a 629-Carry Comp. It's a beauiful revolver! Has anyone shot one of these? It's been raining here so I have not been able to go shooting with it. It's so pretty I almost hate to shoot and dirty it...almost! I plan on taking pics of my brood and posting them. I hope to post some sort of range report on the 629, 643 Power port and my TRR8. I have shot the last 2 just to play with them. The 642 Power Port is quite accurate shooting some cheap Mexican 38's. At 10 yds I fired shots touching each other and 2 more touching 1" away. I was suprised by it. Anyway, was wondering about other people's experiance with the 629 CC.

Thanks,
Chuck

Haven't fired the CC but I have fired a Camfour. Almost the same set up. With 44 special it's fairly tame, with magnums it can hurt you if you don't hang on. I have gorilla hands and it didn't bother me too much. I do like the fixed sights on the 629, makes it seem smaller and no snagging. Welcome to the forum, please post some pics. James

I've never shot a .44 Mag. with a short barrel and wooden boot grips, but it must be a handful!!! I would, at least, have some compact, rubber combat Pach's on it. ;) Bob

Hello again,
I took some pics of my growing S&W brood. I have a fancy camera ( going by the price) but I can't get really nice close ups. Maybe it's because there is more video junk on than camera. If anyone has suggestions as to what camera will take good close ups let me know :)

This should be on another thread so I'll just post for now.
