It's all by frame size. An 8 3/8 on and N frame looks shorter than a 6" on an M or I

Everyone knows I have the loooong barrel 460 XVR but sorry no pictures. I quit posting pictures a while back. You never know who is looking at them and with the current 'gun grab climate', I prefer not to.

Lets just say Gregory like it... (y)

Some wonderful examples shown! I prefer shorter barrels myself, but pictures are always welcome.

I felt that way but then I shot my Buntline. Longer sight radius is a help for older eyes.:) But I'll keep my other revolvers and maybe look for a S&W with the 8 3/8" barrel.

I’m proud to display my first 8 3/8 in barrel. It’s a model 25-5 45 colt that I just purchased. It came with original box and all paperwork. It has been shot very few times and still has the white grease on the star. I can’t find a single blemish on it. A great find for a 40+ year old revolver

This revolver is so pristine I considered never shooting it but I couldn’t stand it any longer so I shot 25 rounds of my hand loads. 255gr SWC at approximately 800 FPS. It certainly didn’t disappoint. I was hitting to 10” steel easily out to 40 yards and recoil was very soft. I have no regrets shooting it.
