just got my son a 15-22, he is a lefty and I would like to move the safety to the left. Will any AR safety work such as the Seekins ambi. part. Is one better than the other? thanks in advance...

The lower receiver on the 15-22 is wider than a standard AR15. This will cause binding issues if you use a standard AR15 safety.

Battle Arms development makes a 15-22 specific Ambi-safety that works well.

If you hunt around on the net you might be able to find it cheaper. IIRC, I bought my last one at Brownells for $45

Radian also makes an Ambi-safety and Ambi-charing handle specifically for the 15-22, but they are always out of stock when I check

I already had the BAD safety lever but Radian recently released their version along with a Raptor charging handle. Comes in a set to you knock out two parts that most folks upgrade at the same time. I have the Raptor charging handle and it's obviously nicer than stock - aluminum and ambidextrous.
