Next weekend we are celebrating the return of Barb's cousin getting back home after three years in Afganistan. Don't ask me his rank, I was never knowledgable about those things. Last I knew, he was a Warrent {?} Officer. Enough fire wood for the two days is always a chore and we don't have a crop of teenage boys ready yet so...
The house next door was abandonded about a year and a half ago. It had it's copper stolen and windows broke. A friend bought it cheap and is working on it. It had two trees that had to go. We needed some wood for the camping trip next weekend so....

The hired help needed a rest {my nephew's son}

we carted the wood out to a big wash with lots of shade. Well,,, about as much as you can find out in deep Rainbow.

Mrs.azmick and azmick at one of the best places on Earth.

This is were we will be if any one else wants to join in. If you can't find it on the map, I'll gladly give directions.

Swear to God, if I get the chance...I'm shakin' your hand out there ;)

This years big trip is out to the daughters new home in Texas....and I hope to run into a few friends while I'm down there. She's in San Antonio and I've already made it a point to meet some Amigo's whilst visiting... Still trying to figure out a run up North to say hi to xtm, perhaps steal one of his guns :mrgreen:
But AZ is on my and the missus's minds.

Maybe (If XTM doesn't take a potshot at me) I might roll down to his neck of the woods to say HI!

[Hey azmick, how close is that to Flatiron/quote]
Nope, it's south of the Gila on Jackrabbit Rd. {195 Ave.} and a few jogs and you turn at the bush that looks like a jackalope :mrgreen: About 14 mile from the house.
[quote:27dfihra]A bunch of us really do need to meet somewhere when Giz is in Texas this year
That could be fun!

Do you get up into the Coronado Nat. Forest very often? That portion of it that lies to the West of Rodeo, NM is one of my favorite places in Arizona. Before I got married, I used to prospect that bit of it that lies on the AZ/NM border. Pretty rugged terrain out that way. Don't know that I'd do it now though. Too many aliens roaming through that area from what I hear.

Never seem to have time any more to just wander. Barb has a cousin that lives in the shadow of Mount Lemon {West side} in Oro Valley and we always end up there when we go south.
There is alot to see down there and a week would be too short for sure. The snow covered Chiricahua Mountains rising out of the desert is a sight to see. 9,600 Ft. above sea level at the peak {I think}, fantastic sight from the desert floor and a great vista from the look out tower on top
