Absolutely. No "safe queens" in my collection. I've owned the Python since 1978, and it has over 15k rounds through it. The stocks and finish are all original. It's as smooth and tight today, as it was the day I bought it.
I just picked up the Diamondback. I put 100 rounds through it yesterday.
The Diamondback had "Dick Special" stocks on it. On the Colt forum, I did a WTB for a set of target stocks. One of the members there had a set of new ones, and an owner's manual. I bought both, and the target stocks really look good on it.
Dennis,
A beautiful picture of two fine guns.
Just goes to show what regular maintenance and regular detailing will do for your guns. ALL guns were made to be 'shooters'.
