In hindsight I wish I could have waited a day or two, but the timing on "my" used 908 was running out.

This other 908 looks mint, based on the "GB" auction website photo, and the "Buy Now" price seems attractive for its appealing condition.
My handguns are three Sig P6, a "true" P225 (German proof mark), Walther P99 and CZ PCR, but I'm a novice with S&W (owned a 5906 for a while).

Nice price and any extra mag now lists at $65-80.

Maybe this mention can help somebody out There.
* A good bit of reading suggests that most people in this S&W ' interest category ' highly prefer the 3913 or 3914, due to the all-metal components.

Placed a bid for a that "other", non-mint 908: standard blued model. Certainly more attractive bluing than in the photo depictions.

Really like the handiness and overall size, which is nearly identical to my actual German P225 (yes--chin proof marks, target "Beschuss" included) and the other Sig, the true P6.

But the thinness of this 908's grip compared to the thicker, more curved P225 and P6 is really nice. And the S&W's concealed hammer would provide a nice look in a spy movie.
If this 908 trigger/mainspring is stock, I have no idea, but it's one of the best DA triggers I've ever used, along with my newish Walther P99 'AS'.

Are the 908 and 3913/3914 DA pulls normally this smooth, but also with very little noticed 'stacking'? Guessing that it is 9 or 10 lbs..?

My 908 arrived at the gun store yesterday. Again, my older previous S&W was a very shiny 5906, which was just a club range gun to use with a number of others.

This gun is a blast! So handy and ergonomic with my slender hands. Took it to a somewhat rural river with very limited time and fired 50 rds. of Win. "white box".

Maybe the mainspring is all-original (feels like 9-10 lbs. pull?), and the smoothness and very minimal perceived stacking ranks it above my German Sig P225 (chin proofs), the other "real P6", and about equal with the Walther P99 'AS' in DA (striker-fired, with a decocker---). Better ergos than the 225 and P6 or any other older Sig I've handled or owned (i.e. 228).
This is a Very nifty, yet solid compact. The 'bobbed' hammer also seems so unique.

I might be wrong, but the prices for these scarce OEM magazines could be a considerable deterrent to many people who otherwise would bid on a 3913/14 or 908 for actual carry.

Am 65 years old, but only bought my first handgun (WW2 Sauer 38H) about six years ago.

This first 908, tried out yesterday, certainly feels as solid and reliable as my other centerfire handguns:

Sig P6, Sig P225 (also German-proofed), CZ PCR and the Walther P99 'AS'. The 908's nice narrow grip (and ruggedness) reminds of my EG, Bulgy. and Russian Makarovs.
