As an Art major in a previous life, I appreciated all types of art from drawings/paintings to sculptures and architecture. After checking out some old Air Force pics I wondered what happened to the Pin Up Girls? I always thought it was a clever way to pump up moral for the aircrews during those troubling times and one must wonder what the enemy thought if they noticed the artwork on our fighters/bombers. In today's environment of PC, I don't think those outside the armed forces would appreciate the beauty or it's intent....unfortunately it would be deemed sexist. Here are some examples that our boys used to go into battle...

Aircraft nose art is probably forbidden these days, and may have been back then, but if so the rule was universally ignored. Here are a few more examples

This last one was really interesting to me. The usual crew of a heavy bomber was 10 guys, so I am guessing the Ten Nights would be the aircrew

I have literally only seen a collection of these guns posted on this forum, and it was only a collection of three. I just got my seventh one this Christmas and I just felt the need to share because I’m really excited. The latest one is called Farmer’s daughter. 😁
