Just bought a box of Winchester 124 grain 9mm nato and have found out it's not standard pressure. My question is will it be ok to run it through my 9 shield?

What leads you believe they are not a standard pressure? Recoil hi or low? Jonesy is probably right, but if it concerns you write the lot number down and contact the ammo company.

NATO loaded rounds are higher velocity (and pressure) than standard velocity rounds. They approximate +P rounds as Jonesy says. Your Shield is proofed above those pressures.

They will tend to wear the gun more aggressively because the increased pressure beats things up harder.

Here's a detailed discussion:

As everyone said a box or two is fine. I occasionally shoot 9mm NATO in my full size pistol and the difference is definitely noticeable. I once had aBeretta 92FS and the only thing that shot decently out of that gun was 9mm NATO.
