I recently picked up a nice 915 from a shop locally. I've discovered that a few shops here are very into the latest plastic fantastic tactical guns, older metal guns don't get much respect. It worked well for me, I got this 915 with 3 15rd mags for under $300.
I'm not in love with the grips. They are factory plastic grips. I've seen comments on different sites that wood or rubber grips ad bulk to the gun. I've also read about some concerns about springs, I think, when changing them. Would I be better off just getting some grip tape to improve the grip on it? I'm sure none of the companies, like Talon or Traction Grips, make 3rd gen S&W grip panels. I'll have to get a blank and cut my own.
Anyway, it's a nice gun. I have a vacation coming up soon. I hope to go to a range and give it a work out then. 20190914_104604_Film3.jpg

Those S&W grips might not be very fancy, but you would find in firing with them that they offer a good hold on the pistol.
