Took a 681 and changed the barrel out and the cylinder, it went from a six shot to a seven.

What it looked like when I started, had alot of wear on her:

Saw a 681 once that the owner had taken the other way.... from 6 shots to 5, but in the process the gun became a .44 Special.

A 696 cylinder and a rebored barrel were just the ticket....

If I didn't have a pair of 646's in .40 S&W I'd sure try that myself....

Haven''t shot it yet, but I had to fit the hand to the cylinder.
Cutting .010 off barrel:

Here is the first target from today at the range. This is a 50ft target shot at about 24 yrds. Not bad for open sites.
