I always thought Craig Spegal grips were expensive, Some are but depending on the wood grade not always. These were the same price as Hogues. Wood fit and finish is as good as I have seen.
See you like the Auto - Rim cases. Years ago with a M 1917 I used them a lot, but they went with the gun when traded. Now one of the things I like most about my 625 is the moon clips. Makes it easy to retreve brass and loads much faster. Brass is cheap too.
I may get some AR's though so I can use the gun in SSR class. Were did you get them and cost ?
You gents best hold on to them 625 3"ers, there is currently a 625 3" on GB at the pricely sum of $1,625, with 1 hour left to go!! (#122923334 if anyone's interested).
You never know 1700 bucks when I paid 550 including all fees for this one in January ? I have never considered the 3 digit Smiths collectable, good guns but not something I would buy to put away. That kind of money you can get a nice collectable gun. Although there were not many of them made and if somebody is hot to own one it could happen I guess. Go to a custom gunsmith and start paying for alterations and it's not a lot of money.
I bet that number will not go through it's crazy.
