Ruger Super Blackhawk 50th anniversary model, S-47N-50, serial number SB-00351, made in January 2009. High Gloss Blue (on the box) and spectacular grips with old style monograms.

Very nice....It is great to know that these guns are in the budget range of anyone getting started collecting Rugers. They are not out of reach and can be the jumping off point for a wonderful SA collection...

I like to see guns that folks can appreciate and afford....

Well done Doc! :)

Don...the high polish finish on the 50th anniversary SBH is as good as the high polish guns of the 60s. The grips are much better! ! I bought the gun yesterday at a local gun show. I also saw one of the Blackhawks in .44 Special caliber.

Giz, It's good to see that RUGER is sticking to it's orginal goal. Bill Ruger started out over 50 years ago with the idea of making good guns that the common man could afford. Bill is gone.......but his dream lives on. That's quite a legacy! ;) A life well lived! :D Bob

That's a wonderful photo of a gorgeous gun! The Anniversary gun and the new .44 Special have the "WARNING: Before shooting gun...." on the bottom of the barrel instead of along the left side. That stunning Anniversary gun would not look so fine with that horrible writing standing out in that photo. The clean looking barrel makes that revolver even more appealing!
